Pumpkin Spice Dessert
I've made my LEMON DESSERT, CHOCOLATE DESSERT and PISTACHIO DESSERT and they are delicious so why not try a Pumpkin Spice Dessert? Perfect! Our local IGA grocery store sells Pumpkin Spice Instant Pudding Mix around the holidays and it is so good!
The pudding mix is so good you can just mix it up, throw it in a ready to use graham cracker pie crust, top with whip cream and have a great pie! In fact for my donation to the shelter for the less fortunate this year I put exactly that in my box (plus a lot of other stuff)! I put a box of Dream Whip for the whipped topping but I'm sure that will be good!
All of these layers together makes for a delicious, nutty, creamy dessert! I think it is way better than the traditional pumpkin pie! My brother-in-law is sooooo picky and he had 2 pieces and was raving about it!
Refreshing Dessert! Yummy!
I am going to post this the way the layers go. It is much easier so check each layer for the ingredients.
Layer #1 (crust)
1 stick butter, softened
1 cup flour
1/2 cup pecans, chopped
Mix together and bake in a 9x13 pan at 350° for 13 minutes. Cool.
Layer #2
8 ounces cream cheese, softened
1 cup powdered sugar
8 ounces Cool Whip but only use 1 cup in this step.
Mix well and spread on crust.
Layer #3
2 packs (3.4 ounces each) Instant Pumpkin Spice Pudding Mix
3 cups milk
Beat until thick and spread over layer #2
Spread top with remaining Cool Whip and another 1/2 cup pecans.
Refrigerate covered overnight.
