Fancy Dipped Pretzel RodsMy daughter made these for her own baby shower! They would be great for a gender reveal party and holiday's or for any occasion! Easy to make and the sweet and salty combination is amazingly good and they are so pretty with the ribbons in the treat bags! They are easy to make and inexpensive and they disappear fast! blue sprinkles, or your color of choice 12 ounces white chocolate candy melts or white almond bark, not chips as they don't melt as well 1-2 tablespoons vegetable shortening, maybe if chocolate gets to thick 1 (16 ounce) bag pretzel rods cellophane treat bags and ribbons Set up your workstation with all the sprinkles you are going to use. Microwave 2 cups of chocolate in a glass measuring cup or tall glass for 45 seconds. Stir. Add vegetable shortening if to thick and microwave in 30 second intervals and stirring until melted. DO NOT overheat. Chocolate burns easy so watch this. Dip and swirl the pretzel rods into melted chocolate, tilting the glass to easily cover as much of the pretzel as you want. Use the side and rim of the glass to remove excess. Over a bowl or plate sprinkle with sprinkles while chocolate is still hot so the sprinkles stick. Stand up, chocolate up, in short glasses to harden. Let harden completely. You can put them in the fridge to harden. Wrap in cute ribbons and bags.
