Bacon Cheeseburger PieWe liked this meal! Hubby liked it better than I did only because I thought it was "heavy/thick" but good! The cheese on top was amazing! I liked the taste of the pie crust with the meat and cheese too! All ingredients point to a delicious Bacon Cheeseburger! If you like thick burgers you will like this! I'm more of a thinner burger person! Dinner was good! Recipe adapted from SPEND WITH PENNIES1 pound ground beef, browned & drained 6 slices bacon, chopped, cooked & drained 5 thin slices onion, diced ⅓ cup panko bread crumbs 1½ teaspoon yellow mustard 1/3 cup barbecue sauce 2 tablespoon ketchup 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce black pepper, to taste garlic powder, to taste 1 uncooked pie crust, store bought or make your own 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese 1 egg, beaten ¼ cup milk Preheat oven to 400° If pie crust is frozen, set out 15 minutes before using. Brown ground beef and bacon until done. Drain well. As the meat drains, in the same skillet, saute onion. Remove from heat, return meat to skillet and stir in bread crumbs, mustard, barbecue sauce, ketchup, Worcestershire, pepper and garlic powder. Place mixture in pie crust. Spread mixture out evenly. In a small bowl mix cheese, milk and egg. Spread over meat mixture. Cover the edges of the pie crust with foil or a pie shield to prevent over browning. Bake 15 minutes, remove foil and bake an additional 15 minutes or until cheese lightly browns and crust is done.
