Sour Patch Grapes
Sweet! Sweet! Sweet! I knew as soon as I saw this recipe that I wanted to make it! You can use any flavor of Jello powder and either red or green grapes! On the blog where I found this recipe puresugar.net/cooking-thursday-sour-patch-grapes-glitter-grapes-recipe/, she used green grapes with Melon Jello Powder!
My hubby and kids loved this! Hubby wants some in his lunch box! The bowl was gone in a flash! Me, well, I really liked them but they were to sweet for my taste and trust me, I am a sweet, sugar loving chic! My favorite candy is anything that is sugar coated like, sugar coated gummy worms or Sour Patch variety candy! I could only eat a handful of the grapes, 5 or 6!
Fun recipe! The good thing about the recipe, if you don't like them, you can just rinse them off! The finished grapes were very un-friendly to the camera!
1 pound of red seedless grapes, pulled from the stems and rinsed
1 (3 ounce) package Jolly Rancher Watermelon Jello Powder (NOT prepared)
Water
Rinse the grapes under water until all are clean and wet.
Spread the gelatin mix on a plate, about 1/3 at a time. Place a handful of grapes on the plate and gently roll each grape, with a spoon, in the gelatin powder until it is covered.
Place the coated grapes into a bowl and repeat the process with the remaining ingredients until all of the grapes are covered.
Place the bowl and let set in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour, until the gelatin is set. The colder these are, the better they taste.
