Blackberry DumplingsRecipe from My Mother In Law, Marilyn Yummy! This so good! My MIL has always used fresh blackberries but it can be made with canned pie filling as well! Top with a scoop of vanilla ice cream to add another level of awesome taste! If you like blackberries, you'll love this dish! For Filling:1 quart fresh blackberries (or 2 cans blackberry pie filling) 1½ water plus 1/2 cup, divided 1½ cups sugar 3 Tablespoons corn starch For Dumplings:2 cups Bisquick 1/2 cup sugar 1 cup milk 1/2 stick butter Preheat oven to 400 degrees Mix 1½ cups water and 1½ cups sugar and bring to a boil and stir. Mix corn starch and 1/2 cup water in a separate bowl until smooth and add into the boiling water and sugar mixture. Boil and when it starts to thicken add blackberries and boil 10 minutes. In a separate bowl mix Bisquick, 1/2 cup sugar and milk. Place the butter in a sprayed 9x13 dish and melt in the oven. Once melted, pour Bisquick mix into the dish and then the blackberries.
