French Onion Chicken Noodle Casserole
Delicious! Amazing! Out of this world good! Everything is better with French Fried Onions on top and French Onion Dip in the mix! We love Kroger brand French Onion Dip! It beats all brands that we've tried including name brands!
I cut this recipe in half because the ORIGINAL RECIPE from Stephanie at Plain Chicken www.plainchicken.com/2014/09/french-onion-chicken-noodle-casserole.html#more feeds 8-10 and that's to much for us! I posted this recipe the way I made it!
We loved this! Everything married well together! Creamy and crunchy all at the same time! Tasty cheesy chicken baked in cream of chicken soup and French Onion Dip along with some regular egg noodles which was a nice change from bowtie, elbow and spiral noodles! They were perfect in this dish! It reminded me that I need to use them more often! The French Fried Onions took this dish to the top! I love finding recipes that use them!
First casserole of the fall season and it will be made again! Can't wait!
2 cups cooked boneless skinless chicken breast, chopped (I seasoned chicken first with Lawry's Seasoned Salt)
1 can cream of chicken soup
8 ounce container French Onion Dip (found in the refrigerated section near the sour cream)
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
6 ounces egg noodles
1 (6 ounce) can French fried onions
Cook egg noodles according to package directions, drain.
Preheat oven to 350°. Lightly spray a 9x13-inch pan with cooking spray.
Combine chicken, soup, dip, and cheese. Stir in cooked egg noodles.
Pour mixture into prepared pan. Top with French fried onions.
Bake 25-30 minutes, until heated through.
