Korean Beef & Rice Bowl
This was perfect! Nice Asian flair going on with the soy sauce and sesame oil and a touch of sweetness from the brown sugar! The red pepper flakes added a little bit of spice and you can control the amount of spiciness with how much red pepper flakes! Leave them out if you don't like spicy and I don't think it will alter the taste at all!
OMGoodness, this was the easiest recipe I've made in a long time and a different twist on ground sirloin! We prefer ground sirloin over ground beef but any ground "beef" would be good with this recipe! In fact, I bet this sauce would be good on a lot of different meat or fish! We gobbled this down and hubby already wants to see this on the dinner table again! I also bet this would be good with some veggies added in!

1¼ pounds ground sirloin, browned and drained
seasoned salt, to taste
1/3 cup soy sauce
½ cup brown sugar
1 Tablespoon sesame oil
1 Tablespoon minced garlic
crushed red pepper, to taste
¼ teaspoon ground ginger, or to taste
3 green onion shoots, diced
1½ cups cooked minute rice
In a skillet brown beef and break into crumbles as it browns. Drain. Season with seasoned salt.
In a bowl, mix soy sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, garlic, crushed red pepper and ginger.
Return beef to skillet and add sauce mix, stirring well. Simmer 5 minutes.
Cook rice.
Serve beef over rice. Garnish with green onion.
