Italian Turkey MeatballsYum! A nice change from beef meatballs! Low in fat and high in protein! We had these for dinner but they would be great for an appetizer! I didn't serve anything else with these because we didn't want much for dinner and this was perfect! Very filling! The taste was amazing! The meatballs were moist throughout and the parmesan cheese gave way to a very flavorful meatball! The Panko breadcrumbs held everything together nicely! Dipping them in pizza sauce was perfect for topping off a wonderful dinner! Thanks to Kandice, my son's girlfriend, for the recipe! 1 pound lean ground turkey ¼ cup Panko breadcrumbs ¼ cup grated parmesan cheese, fresh or from green container 1 egg, beaten 1 Tablespoon Italian seasoning, plus a little more for sprinkling salt & pepper, to taste 1 Tablespoon fresh parsley pizza sauce for dipping Preheat oven to 375° In a bowl, combine everything and mix well. Roll into 1 inch balls. On a baking sheet, place tin foil and spray well with non-stick cooking spray. Place meatballs on foil leaving a little room between them. Sprinkle with a little more Italian seasoning. Bake 15 minutes and then flip them. Bake another 15 minutes or until cooked through and nice and browned. Serve with pizza sauce for dipping.
