2 Old Ladies On A Bus Chicken
This recipe was supposedly developed from a conversation overheard between 2 old ladies on a bus! I love the name of the recipe! Cute! The recipe itself, not so much!
I want to give this recipe review a fair shake! Half way thru the cooking time and basting the chicken, I knew it needed something! To much of an orangey taste! I added brown sugar and mixed it up in the sauce! 15 minutes later I tested it again! My taste buds were not buying it! I then sprinkled brown sugar directly on the chicken and back in the oven it went for the final minutes at the higher temp!
Hubby liked it but he called it orange chicken! It was OK to me! He ate 2 pieces and I ate 1 small piece! I made fried rice with dinner and mixing the chicken with the rice on my plate was still just OK! Will I make this again? Probably not! If you like the prominent flavor of orange, you will probably like this dish! I love orange but not this way!

2 pounds thin chicken breast
1/3 cup orange marmalade
3/4 cup BBQ sauce
2 tablespoons worcestershire sauce
2 tablespoons lemon juice
4 tablespoons brown sugar, divided
Arrange chicken on a sprayed foil lined 9x13 baking dish.
In a small bowl, combine marmalade, barbecue sauce, Worcestershire sauce, lemon juice and 2 tablesppons of the brown sugar.
Pour over chicken.
Bake, uncovered, in a 350 degree oven for 45 minutes, spooning sauce over chicken every 15 minutes.
Increase oven temperature to 400 degrees. Sprinkle the remaining brown sugar directly on the chicken.
Bake for 15 minutes more or until chicken is tender and no longer pink.
