Favorite Spaghetti In Garlic Bread Bowl
This spaghetti is amazing! We could of just eaten the spaghetti just as it was coming out of the boiled water and onion soup mix! Nothing else added to it! I had to keep hubby out of it while I was making the sauce! He came up with all kinds of idea's with just the spaghetti! Just a side dish was one of his idea's! I agreed! I found this recipe for the spaghetti on Pinterest and thought no way this would work without draining the spaghetti but TRUST ME it works perfectly! You boil it until almost all of the liquid is absorbed and it is sooooo good!
My hubby loves crushed tomatoes and he tolerates diced tomatoes! The original recipe called for diced tomatoes, putting them in a blender, so I thought, what the heck, I'm making him happy tonight and using crushed tomatoes! Yes, he was very happy! One less step using the crushed tomatoes too!

5 cups water
1 envelope dry Lipton onion soup
8 ounce package of spaghetti
1 pound ground beef
garlic salt, to taste
2 teaspoons oregano
1 teaspoons basil
1 (28 ounce) can crushed tomatoes
For The Bread Bowls
6 large Kaiser rolls (I used onion flavor)
1/2 cup butter, melted
garlic salt, to taste
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese, divided
Preheat oven to 350 degreesĀ°
Bring water with Lipton onion soup to a boil. Add spaghetti and cook uncovered for about 10 minutes or so until most of liquid is absorbed. DO NOT DRAIN
Brown meat, drain, and return to skillet.
Sprinkle with garlic salt and add oregano and sweet basil. Add crushed tomatoes. Simmer for about 30 minutes.
Add spaghetti to skillet with sauce and mix well.
Microwave butter until melted and add garlic salt, mixing well.
Hollow out rolls from the bottom of the roll. Just cut a circle out of the bottom of the roll and the middle comes out easy.
Spread garlic butter inside rolls.
Spoon spaghetti into the center of the rolls and top with mozzarella cheese.
Place filled bread bowls on a baking sheet and bake 5-7 minutes until bowls are a little crispy and cheese is melted.
