Cheesy Pepperoni Pizza Dip
What an easy dip to throw together! I love the blog CINCY SHOPPER and Jen who writes the blog! She has some great recipes and lots of deals from around the Cincinnati area! I used part of her recipe for this and the rest I used with things that I had on hand and wanted to use up!
So cheesy and the bell peppers add a nice tasty touch to the pizza sauce! We love Chef Boyardee Pizza Sauce and that's the sauce I used in this fantastic dip! I'm sure you could use whatever type of toppings that you like on this dip! The Parmesan cheese on top of the pepperoni set it up nicely with a slight char which made it perfect!
Toasted bread sticks are the perfect choice for dipping and crackers too!
Re-heat in the microwave for a few minutes thru the evening if needed! Very filling!
1 (8 ounce) cream cheese, softened
1 teaspoon Dry Italian Salad Dressing Seasoning Mix
1½ cups pizza sauce
½ of a small red bell pepper, diced
½ of a small green bell pepper, diced
½ cup grated Parmesan cheese, divided
1½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese
20 small round slices pepperoni
½ teaspoon oregano
Sea Salt Pita crackers and toasted garlic bread sticks for dipping
Preheat oven to 375°
Spread cream cheese into the bottom of a 10 inch glass pie plate.
Top with remaining ingredients in order listed only using half of the grated Parmesan cheese. Do not add crackers or bread sticks. They are for dipping.
Sprinkle remaining Parmesan cheese on top.
Bake 25-30 minutes until cheese is bubbly.
Serve with crackers and toasted garlic bread sticks.
Place in microwave 3-4 minutes if it needs re-heating.
