Cheesy Taco PastaEasy Peasy! Very simple to make and it's done in no time! I love using sea shell pasta in recipes! They were awesome in this recipe and the meat mixture held on to the pasta very good! I used taco sauce in this instead of salsa because my hubby loves taco sauce and I love salsa but he always has to endure salsa in many recipes so I made him very happy this time and it's his birthday month (May)! The tortilla chips are perfect with this recipe! Use them whole to dip with or crush them on top! We did both and both ways are delicious! Recipe adapted from Dinner Then Dessert2 cups dry medium sea shell pasta 1 pound ground beef, browned and drained 1 packet taco seasoning 3/4 cup of water 1 cup salsa, I used taco sauce 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese tortilla chips Cook the pasta according to the directions on the box and drain. While the pasta is cooking, in a separate skillet brown and crumble ground beef. Drain Add the taco seasoning and 3/4 cup of water, stir and cook until water is almost gone. Add the cooked pasta into the skillet with the beef and add the salsa and cheese. Mix well. Simmer until the cheese has melted. Serve with tortilla chips either whole for dipping or crushed on top.
