Apple Berry Salsa
Yummy! Yummy! Yummy! I first tried something similar to this at a Pampered Chef party www.pamperedchef.com/recipe-landing-page and it was so good and easy to make! I knew I could make it at home and it turned out fantastic! It was a little different from the Pampered Chef party I attended! I added blueberries and I cut out the orange zest because I don't like zest in any shape or form! It's a texture thing for me! I also used strawberry jelly instead of apple but I love apple jelly too!
If you're short on time you can buy Stacy's Cinnamon Pita Chips and they are out of this world good and go great with the fruit salsa!! The homemade cinnamon tortilla chips are easy to make!
All of the fruit in this recipe go together perfect and it makes one fresh fruit delight! Perfect for any family gathering and you don't have to worry about it sitting out!
2 Medium Granny Smith apples, quartered and diced
1 cup strawberries, hulled and diced
1 kiwi, peeled and chopped
1 small orange, peeled and diced
2 Tablespoons brown sugar
3 Tablespoons strawberry or apple jelly, melted
1 cup blueberries
1 package 7 inch flour tortilla's
2 Tablespoons granulated sugar
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
water
Quarter and dice apples, hull and dice strawberries, peel and dice kiwi, peel and dice orange and place in a medium bowl. Add whole blueberries. Add brown sugar and melted jelly to bowl and mix well.
Refrigerate 1 hour or until ready to serve. Give fruit a good stir before serving.
Cinnamon Chips (a good store bought brand is Stacy's Cinnamon Pita Chips)
Cut the tortilla's into eighths. Spray with water and don't be stingy. Mix sugar and cinnamon and sprinkle heavily on both sides of tortilla's.
Bake at 400° for about 10 minutes, just until brown.
Remove from oven and cool.
Serve with salsa.
