Nutty Pretzel KrispiesI wanted so much to make these with white chocolate chips and I tried but it was a disaster and I don't know why?? I kept trying to melt the white chips but they stayed in a big clump! What the heck? I called Nestle Toll House and they said that I shouldn't have tried to melt the whole 12 ounce bag at once nor should I have added a little cream which I did to try and help it not be a big clump! Nestle also told me that white chocolate melts different than darker chocolates! This is the reason that I am a cooker and not a caker! I keep trying though! Nestle is sending me some coupons for my big mistake! So I had a bag of milk chocolate chips and I went with that and these turned out great! The crunch of the Rice Krispies, pecans and pretzels were fantastic under all of the chocolate that hardened up perfect! Make sure to use the thin pretzel sticks and not the fatter pretzel rods! 1 (12 ounce) bag chocolate chip morsels or white chocolate chip morsels 1 cup Rice Krispies cereal 1 cup chopped pecans 1 cup pretzel sticks not rods, broken Melt the chocolate chips in the microwave for 1 minute and stir. Continue melting the chocolate for 15 seconds at a time and stir until very smooth. Add the Rice Krispies cereal, chopped pecans, and broken pretzels. Using a small scoop or a teaspoon, scoop onto parchment paper or wax paper and let them sit until completely cooled for several hours. Store in an air tight container.
