Crescent Burgers
The meat for this recipe taste so much like a White Castle! I couldn't believe the similarity! These made a very filling dinner! We didn't have anything on the side except for pickles because they were so filling! Hubby had some potato chips with his!
The meat mixture is out of this world good! Very tasty! I love onion soup mix in recipes!
Recipe adapted from allrecipes! I read some of the reviews on this recipe and that's where I decided to add the cream cheese! Some also said they added a pickle but I like my pickles cold so I ate some on the side and they were delicious!
½ pound ground beef, browned & drained
sea salt and pepper, to taste
2 ounces cream cheese, softened
3 Tablespoons dry onion soup mix, or more to taste
2 Tablespoons Worcestershire sauce, or more to taste
½ cup shredded cheddar cheese plus a little more for topping
1 (8 pack) roll crescent rolls
1 egg, beaten
Preheat oven to 375°
In a skillet brown and crumble ground beef until no longer pink. Drain.
Return to skillet and add salt, pepper, cream cheese, dry onion soup mix, Worcestershire and ½ cup shredded cheddar. Simmer on low until cheeses are melted. Mix well.
Unroll crescent rolls and separate into 8 rolls. Starting at the big end of each roll, spoon in meat going down center just a tad, saving a little room on edges. Once filled with meat, roll crescent towards the point all the way and then pinch any openings together, stuffing any meat back in that may have fallen out before pinching together.
Place on baking sheet and brush top of rolls with beaten egg and sprinkle with remaining shredded cheddar cheese.
Bake 20-25 minutes or until rolls are done and lightly browned.
