Bacon Cheeseburger PuffsThought I'd have munchies for dinner and I had some hamburger to use up! These were good but I thought they needed something like maybe dunking them in BBQ sauce! They were all eaten and everyone liked them! I love my friend Star's Sausage Balls and these are made the same way minus the bacon so I'd just rather use the sausage because they are so tasty with sausage and nothing is missing from them! This is a good recipe though and would be great for appetizers at any gathering! You can find the original recipe on Plain Chicken www.plainchicken.com/2012/04/football-friday-bacon-cheeseburger.html1 pound ground beef 1½ cups Bisquick baking mix 2 cups shredded Cheddar cheese 3 ounces soft bacon bit pieces salt & pepper, to taste 6-7 Tablespoons buttermilk Preheat oven to 400° In a skillet, cook and crumble ground beef until no longer pink; drain. In a bowl, combine biscuit mix, bacon and cheese; stir in cooked beef. Add salt & pepper to taste. Add buttermilk and toss with a fork until just moistened. Shape into 1½ inch balls. I used a medium ice cream scoop. Place 2 inches apart on sprayed foil lined baking sheet. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until puffed and golden brown.
